Our client has an immediate opening for 2 Medical Malpractice Examiners. This client is one of the largest providers of physician owned insurers in the Southeast.
Responsibilities:
Must be heavily involved with coverage issues to include: breach of standard care, causation and damages, investigate and determine liability, establish claim reserves.
Drafting Reservation of Rights and Declination letters, vendor management, primary and excess claims involving employment practices liability, business owners policies, D&O, and medical office coverage.
Requirements:
8 years + of related medical malpractice experience, knowledge to include: statutes of limitation, contributory negligence, joint and several liability, vicarious liability, expert opinion, compensatory damages, attorney fees and immunities.
College degree preferred. This successful candidate must have a proven track record of handling GL/PL claims with a strong litigation background and the ability to work in a team environment. Strong communication skills, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
