Product Development Manager Responsibilities

• Manages staff engaged in the research and development of new/enhanced property/casualty (P&C) insurance products and markets.
• Reviews all suggested manual and policy revisions and communication documents.
• Monitors profitability, competitive position and regulatory requirements and recommends responses to changing conditions.
• Acts as a liaison with other departments in the interpretation of P&C insurance products and programs and related rules, procedures and requirements.

Product Development Manager Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Mathematics, Actuarial Science or related field.
• Experience researching and development of new commercial lines property/casualty insurance products .
• Experience developing commercial lines property/casualty insurance programs, standards and procedures.
• Experience underwriting commercial lines property/casualty products.
• Experience Pricing commercial lines property/casualty products.
• Background with analysis of current products with respect to financial results, market penetration and competitor reaction.
• Knowledge of property/casualty insurance programs and products, underwriting rules and requirements, forms and processing procedures.
