Group Employee Benefits Account Manager in Atlanta, GA

The Group Employee Benefits Account Manager will concentrate on servicing a large majority of the firm's corporate benefits accounts and work directly alongside the president who is himself a senior benefits producer.  The insurance agency's book has a mixture of fully funded and self-insured accounts, so you can hone your skills in both platforms and concentrate on building quality relationships with the insureds as a consultant.  You'll be involved in client meetings to discuss renewal plans, policy changes and funding options.  You'll also work internally to foster important underwriting and vendor partnerships.

Group Employee Benefits Account Manager Responsibilities

• Work with client service team to determine bid and renewal strategy for current accounts.
• Provide detailed plan design, cost analysis, group demographics and employee census information; handle benchmarking as well as trend and claims history analysis.
• Prepare RFPs and analyze proposals for premium verification and rate competitiveness.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for policy administration throughout the year.
• Help coordinate marketing and communication materials as well as enrollments and vendor relationships.

Group Employee Benefits Account Manager Requirements

• Approximately 5-10 years of group employee benefits insurance experience; must offer experience controlling all facets of the client service process on a book of business within an agency that focuses on middle market accounts.
• Strong analytical and financial underwriting background; proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is a critical.
• State insurance license.
