As a Business Development Consultant you will be driving sales growth with a company that rewards performance and emulates a “we" before “me" culture.  Due to new acquisitions and steady market growth, this company is seeking an innovative, relationship-driven professional to provide exceptional service to current clients, agents and brokers while managing their distribution network and implementing business initiatives.  Someone with strong interpersonal communication skills, creative problem-solving techniques and a keen ability to foster lasting customer relationships would be the ideal candidate.

 

Business Development Consultant Responsibilities

  • Utilize marketing communications and product development teams to develop business initiatives
  • Continually educate agents/brokers on new business appetites, prospects, coverage and pricing advantages, as well as risk management and claims services
  • Complete a comprehensive marketing plan for each state to evaluate competition, market share and trends in healthcare
  • Identify potential business partners, manage current relationships and negotiate existing agreements

Business Development Consultant Requirements

  • Ability to travel regionally approximately 50-75%, including some overnights
  • At least 7-10 years of commercial property and casualty insurance experience with a focus in sales, marketing and business development
  • Highly desired candidates possess market knowledge of insurance programs and risk strategies for physicians, hospitals, care facilities, etc...
  • Insurance marketing background working directly with external brokers and clients and internal underwriting and claims teams in other product disciplines will be considered (i.e. non-medical professional liability or general commercial casualty packages)
  • Positive and accountable demeanor; exhibits a “can-do" attitude while meeting the needs of business
