Structure of the Account Executive Role

You’ll work in the Corporate Benefits division which has seen the consulting gap widen for smaller groups post-ACA.  As such, many fully insured businesses with 50-100 employees are desperate for a competent broker partnership.  In this role, you will…

  • Apply the same level of care, attention, resources and knowledge to these prospects and clients as the agency provides self-insured clients. 
  • Be fully integrated into the sales team and be assigned a dedicated book of clients and cross sell leads

Important Characteristics and Qualifications

  • Be heavily involved in the sales process- preparing RFPs, negotiating with underwriters, presenting to clients. 
  • Though you are not expected to originate, you must find the warm introductions and closing phases of the sales process appealing.
  • Able to run point independently on internal referrals and cross sale leads. 
  • Can supervise and manage a small team.
