Regional insurance carrier is seeking a Staff Accountant to work out of their Sarasota FL office. Duties and Responsibility include; the preparation, review and/or reconciliation of regulatory reports. Prepares financial statements and operational reports in accordance with statutory accounting principles and Department of Financial and Insurance Regulations. Prepares monthly accounting including premium accruals, expense, etc. and preforms other accounting related duties. To qualify, candidates must have a minimum of two years of related experience in public accounting and must have experience with statutory accounting. They should also have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Economics, Finance or Business Administration or related area; or the equivalent combination or education and experience.
