Claims - Treaty Claims Analyst

A reinsurer with worldwide operations offers an opportunity to join the company in a Treaty Claims Analyst position. The position is an integral part of the organization’s focused initiative and requires not only a certain level of claim expertise but the ability to deliver excellent customer service to stakeholders and clients both internal and external. 

• As a claims analyst you will have assigned accounts and process claims emanating from those accounts.
• You will communicate regularly with internal staff (i.e., claim experts, management, accounting, underwriters, etc.) and externally with brokers and clients. 
• You will review incoming documents to determine if they are associated with a new or existing claim. Create or close claim records, process all financial transactions within stated authority.

Who we seek:

• At least 3 to 10 years of combined insurance/reinsurance property and casualty claim handling experience.
• Competency with claim handling systems
• Familiarity with claims emanating from standard lines of business (i.e., auto and general liability, property, workers compensation, etc.)
• Experience in dealing with other types of claims a plus (i.e., credit & surety, professional liability, etc.).
• Ability to independently handle lower value less complex reinsurance claims, and be able to recognize claim issues which require escalation to claim examiners.
