Growing San Diego Insurance Brokerage firm continues to expand their Employee Benefits business, looking to add an ACCOUNT MANAGER to support Producer and account servicing efforts.
Qualifications:
- Solid, knowledgeable candidates with 3 to 7 years of experience within the benefits insurance brokerage sector.
- Calm, analytical, "can-do" attitude is essential. Provides mentorship to the Benefits Team's Account Coordinator and developing Producer.
- Must be up-to-date on all ACA regulations.
- Handles large group medical accounts with 100+ lives, experienced in that market sector.
- A team player that can work with an Account Executive as lead and another Account Manager and Account Coordinator on the same team. Team supports two Employee Benefit Producers plus two P&C Producers with a handful of benefit clients.
- Candidates with insurance carrier experience must have also handled a book of brokerage benefit business and can handle book-of-business activities right away.
- Must be able to perform with a modest amount of day-to-day supervision. to be able to take the service lead on smaller accounts.
- Candidates should be able to demonstrate proficiency with the HRIS/BenefitPoint Database System.
- Strong spreadsheeting skills are essential. The position also makes strong use of WorkSmart and Powerpoint.
- Valid California Life and Accident & Health Licenses are required.
