Commercial Lines – Account Executive - Client Executive needed for an awesome insurance brokerage firm in Woodland Hills, CA

Reports to: Director of Commercial Lines Marketing and Services

Summary

Responsible for managing Client relationships and maintaining the unit’s book of business. Mentors and manages the service team responsible for the day-to-day account servicing activities of the commercial Clients including new and renewal business processing. Serves as the procedural and technical resource for the service team and is directly responsible for ensuring all fiscal year goals for that Team are met including but not limited to retention of business, rounding of accounts, receivables management, service plans and Client meetings.

Responsibilities

Meet personally with Clients and ensure that all needs/requirements are met spending approximately 25-35% of the time outside the office with Clients.
Manage and retain existing books of businesses and pursue new opportunities for the book where appropriate.
Support the producer in the sale of new business, gather information, develop inside relationships with the client’s staff.
Maintain exceptional Client relations.
Communicate with the Commercial Lines Manager and Producer any issues or concerns that arise on the assigned book of business.
Follow up to address Client needs and resolve their problems/issues.
Develop and oversee Client service plans for each client and understand the needs of the Client.
Ensure exceptional Client service delivery through coordination with carriers, team members and internal company resources.
Prepare marketing strategy for accounts in conjunction with Marketing Executives and Producer and coordinate with Marketing to guarantee that Client requests/requirements are met.
Review policies and make appropriate recommendations for coverage additions or changes.
Assume responsibility for answering questions and resolving more complex coverage issues.
Train and mentor team members.
Oversees collection of account receivables.
Gather renewal information and supports the producer in the renewal process, re-marketing and preparation of proposals.
Manage the workflow of the team and the staff on that team in conjunction with the Commercial Lines Manager.
Encourage and motivate team members to achieve or exceed agency standards.
Respond to and process requests from Clients to carriers for new policies or changes to existing coverages.
Provide technical support to Producers.
Promote teamwork and commitment to department/corporate goals.
Follow company E&O guidelines, policies, and producers.
Adhere to company policies and procedures such as workflow, standards, processing and other guidelines.
Remain current on industry trends and information, new product information, legislation, coverages and technology.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Valid Property and Casualty license.
Insurance designation preferred.
Eight (8) or more year’s multi-line commercial property/casualty experience.
College degree and/or professional insurance designation(s) preferred.
Exception organization and Client service skills.
Strong interpersonal, mathematical, analytical, verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of AMS360 or equivalent agency management system.
Three (3) years of prior management experience preferred.
Prior account rounding/marketing and/or sales responsibilities preferred.
Excellent leadership and networking skills.
Independent, self-starter who can handle multiple tasks and possesses the ability to train and mentor other staff members.
