E&S Underwriting Assistant - Chicago

Growing and profitable Property and Casualty Insurance company is seeking a Commercial Lines Underwriting Assistant for their suburban Chicago operation.  Candidates will be responsible for providing support services for all commercial lines with an emphasis on contract binding / program business across the country.  This position has the opportunity to grow into a renewal underwriting role in the future.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Commercial Underwriting Assistant in a Property and Casualty Insurance MGU or E&S carrier setting
• High School Diploma required.  College is preferred
• Working knowledge of commercial E&S / Binding Authority business
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Strong verbal and written communications skill
