Compliance Analyst

A growing insurance organization in the Richardson area has an opening for a State Filings and Product Compliance Analyst to help with filing product changes with Departments of Insurance and ensuring product compliance for existing regulations.  This person will take the lead in researching new developments countrywide and work with management on new product developments prior to implementation.  The focus of this role will be commercial workers’ compensation business, but anyone with a strong products filings role handling commercial P&C will be considered.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Researching state requirements and filing submissions, implementation and communication processes with management to ensure updates meet business and regulatory needs and happen in an accurate and timely manner
  • Ensure product compliance including conducting periodic audits and overseeing special project work
  • Provide direction and  guidance on technical matters involving state regulations, product compliance or competitive issues
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards
  • Create model forms and manuals
  • Maintain annual workers compensation rate, rules and form filings through SERFF
  • Lead state Market Conduct Audits

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with at least 5 years’ experience in a State Filing compliance role
  • 5+ years’ Insurance Company experience
  • Proven experience working in teams and handling the complexities of commercial worker’s compensation products in an insurance company environment
  • Ability to successfully develop and manage countrywide project plans
  • Effective and efficient use of computer applications including MS Office products
  • Excellent organizational skills and written and verbal communication skills
  • CPCU pursuit or achievement preferred
