Plans at a strategic level and manages the effective use of team resources. Leads teams of technicians to design, develop, maintain, and implement large-scale, highly complex systems and projects supporting continuous maturation of Disaster Recovery readiness within GTS Common Services area for the Enterprise. Additionally, accountable for Common Services Business Continuity planning and execution. Influences business and technology leaders to drive sound decision-making. Responsible for all aspects of human resource management of staff. This job is a Manager of managers: Senior level manager that is responsible for managing the objectives, performance, and compensation of lower levels of management. This job works under General Direction: Establishes procedures for attaining specific goals and objectives in a broad area of work. Generally final results are reviewed. (Typically applies to a manager or expert/top level professional.) This position could be located in our Hartford, CT, Norcross, GA, St. Paul, MN or Omaha, NE offices.
Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities
Leads the coordination of resolution of complex topics. Interacts with internal product owners, vendors and other points of escalation the in the product area. Manages team(s) with responsibilities to configure, test, document and implement new or upgrades to major, highly complex processes, controls or automation. Responsible for communicating status, strategic direction, and results of assigned work. Inspires use of automation products to increase availability and improve Common Services productivity. Other duties as assigned. Responsible for fulfilling IT audits for respective processes and technologies. Ensures team compliance with IT standards, policies, and governance. Provides human resources management, including coaching, performance management, team development and growth, and workforce planning. Provides financial/budgetary oversight for team and set of responsibilities. Perform other duties as assigned.
Five years of Technology or Technology Operations experience required. Two years of experience managing others and/or technical teams required.
Education, Work Experience & Knowledge
Bachelor's degree in Technology or a related field preferred. Five years of technology support within Production/Operations preferred. Three years of experience managing others and/or technical teams preferred.
