Associate Underwriter - Houston, TX

Growing and profitable Property and Casualty Insurance company is seeking a Commercial Lines Underwriting Assistant for their suburban Houston operation.  Candidates will be responsible for providing support services for workers' compensation  business across the country.  This position has the opportunity to grow into a renewal underwriting role in the future.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Commercial Underwriting Assistant in a Property and Casualty Insurance carrier or MGU setting handling workers' compensation line of business
• High School Diploma required.  College is preferred
• Working knowledge of commercial business
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Strong verbal and written communications skill
