We are seeking an Innovation Champion that possesses an entrepreneurial spirit, curiosity, and global mindset. You will develop partnerships across the innovation eco-system, identify opportunities for mutual success and help craft the innovation roadmaps intended to meet our long term goals.

This position is not only designed to prepare Travelers for 'what's next', but also to equip the enterprise and its leaders for what comes after that.



Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities
* Actively scout, identify, and evaluate emerging and early stage innovations from the innovation ecosystem, facilitate interactions between Travelers and potential partners, and support the sourcing of those innovations
* Analyze and synthesize technical, industry and market related information from a variety of sources such as incubators, start-ups, seminars and conferences to acquire vital information needed for strategic recommendations.
* Contribute to the ongoing development of a centralized database for partnership intelligence, competitor data, information centered on areas of opportunity.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in technology field such as computer science or engineering. Requires travel over 50% of the time.

Education, Work Experience & Knowledge
This position will require at least 50% travel, as you will be scouring the globe searching for the best technologies and programs that will fit in our innovation portfolio. A Bachelors degree or technical degree is also required.

We are seeking someone with strong communication skills, with experience presenting novel ideas, concepts and projects to an executive audience. We need someone with a proven ability to think beyond the conventional, with a record of developing rigorous analysis that drives business forward. You should have experience in practical project management and a working knowledge of Design Thinking as a means to approaching Innovation and business development.

Preferred Qualifications
An MBA is preferred, but not required. Established relationships within the innovation ecosystem are also preferred, but not required. These may include relationships with start-ups, incubators, accelerators, and economic development agencies.
