We are assisting our client, a well-established insurance and financial services company, to find a Commercial Lines Program Guru to assist in creating AND overseeing a national MGA business unit. The position will be located in southern CA.
This is a GROUND FLOOR OPPORTUNITY. The company is looking to write traditional brokered MGA business as well as a variation using quoting systems on line such as the more innovative rating technology provided by Insurtech.
The ideal candidate will have:
⦁ Bachelor's Degree
⦁ 5+ years of regional or national sales or marketing/underwriting experience, with 2+ years of program business.
⦁ Leadership skills are a +
⦁ Proven track record of achieving sales goals. Able to identify potential deals in the MGA space and then sell and close deals.
⦁ Aggressive. A hunter personality. Outgoing. Strong Verbal and Written skills.
⦁ Preference is for someone with existing MGA relationships
⦁ Someone who has an analytical/sales balance mindset. Can sell and also analyze and structure a deal.
⦁ Proficient in MS Office including PowerPoint and flowcharting.
⦁ Able to travel nationally as the program develops.
Our client offers a competitive compensation/benefits package. This position is bonus eligible. Relocation assistance may be possible for the right candidate.
