Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
We are currently performing an exclusive search for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for a Florida based national property and casualty insurance company. The position has phenomenal visibility and growth potential, excellent work/life balance and offers a strong base salary, excellent bonus potential, relocation assistance and outstanding benefits. Reports directly to the President & CEO of the organization.
A heavily experienced current Controller ready to take the next step to the CFO level could be considered.
Only candidates with extensive personal lines P&C insurance experience will be considered.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be responsible for the following:
- Oversee the preparation of monthly financial statements on a statutory and GAAP basis
- Oversee the preparation of quarterly and annual statutory financial statements
- Prepare of audit schedules needed in conjunction with the annual external audit
- Work with internal auditor and external auditors in completing the annual audit
- Preparation of external reinsurance reports on a quarterly basis
- Prepare reports required by regulatory agencies
- Assist department heads to prepare to develop, implement and maintain cost center budgets.
- Assist in preparation of consolidated budgets and forecasts
- Oversee and maintain systems and controls which verify the integrity of all systems processes and data, and enhance the company value
- Perform budget vs. actual analysis on a monthly basis
- Provide cost saving and cost containment reviews
- Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports in an accurate and timely manner.
- Manage, train and mentor accounting staff to further develop skills and knowledge
