Senior Transportation Underwriter - Atlanta, GA

Recognized and growing Property and Casualty Insurance company is seeking an experienced Transportation Underwriter for their Atlanta operation. This person should have experience underwriting wide range of transportation classes.  Exposure to specialty transportation risks like Timber Haulers is a plus. The successful candidate will work with a number of agents with the specific intention of writing new business.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years' experience underwriting trucking risks in a carrier or MGU setting
• Experience with specialty lines transportation risk like logging/timber haulers is a big plus
• A successful track record for growing a territory through new business writings
• A bachelor's degree is preferred, but not required
• Professional insurance designations such as CPCU or CIC etc. are a plus
• Strong marketing and communications skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
