We have a client that is currently looking for an Enterprise Business Analyst  to join their office in Nevada. The client is looking to create and update a new version of itself, so to speak,  and become much more business savvy with technology. This position will  collaborate with their executive team and leaders across the organization to define and implement enterprise change strategy.The qualified candidate will assume a leadership role on business architecture, modeling, requirements gathering and process analysis and troubleshooting.

The candidate that we are seeking will have the ability to look at all business processes, and coordinate change within the current environment as this client continues growth across the country.  The candidate should have a "curious" nature, as you will be responsible for working with all business segments, collecting information on what works, what doesn't work, and what can be improved upon. You should have strong IT interfacing experience, as you will be working closely with the IT teams as this client works to modernize technology with "todays"  technology platforms.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the intake and prioritization of discretionary work need by business unit
  • Work closely with business leaders to:
    • Scope initial project proposals (ideation) and assist with preparations for project proposal presentations.
  • Define scope, high-level requirements for identified initiatives and identify link to strategies or operational tactics.
  • Partner with leaders of other business units to identify near and longer term business needs.
  • Partner with leaders of other business units to define cost benefit analyses for requested initiatives.
  • Partner with leaders of other business units to define technology roadmaps that enable organizational needs.
  • Lead product and service evaluations to ensure they align with strategic goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with business units, , IT Leadership and other business unit leadership to provide recommendations for IT strategy based on the overall enterprise strategic goals as communicated by the Executive team.
  • Define the relationships between data and applications across the enterprise.
  • Present to employees at all levels with clear communication.
  • Lead or participate in development of innovative/creative recommendations on how new and emerging technologies can best be applied across the enterprise.
  • Participate in standards and guideline setting committees to ensure adherence to the defined enterprise business landscape.
  • Utilizing a structured vendor selection methodology, lead or participate in vendor selection across the enterprise.
  • Work closely with technical managers and project managers to support initiatives and projects as requested.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field or Bachelor’s Degree in other area and experience in Information Technology
  •  At least 10 years related work experience.
  • Experience in the Property Casualty insurance industry in preferred
  •  Prior experience as a Sr. Business Analyst preferable.
  • Strong analysis skills along with ability to develop creative solutions and options.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of worker’s compensation insurance practices preferred.
  • Experience with vendor management and contract negotiations.
  • Demonstrates initiative, creativity and innovation to drive breakthrough product and process ideas to fruition.
