Provide counsel on insurance regulations and commercial insurance product design to engineers, product management and software developers at a New York City insuretech firm that is developing policy administration systems. The Regulatory Compliance Attorney position is a Contract Consulting Assignment projected to last 6-9 months. For approximately 10-15 hours each week, you’ll advise a local team and one in London on a variety of regulatory insurance issues. Specific examples include:
- Communication with regulators and agencies
- Research and give counsel on business processes, production definitions and so forth while the technology teams build policy administration systems
- Assess regulatory implications of business goals. Help teams deliver on strategic business initiatives.
Desired qualifications: J.D. with at least seven (7) years of insurance industry experience. Strong understanding of commercial insurance product regulations and compliance. Experience with filing product definitions.
