Senior Contract Surety Underwriter - Dallas, Texas

Growing Property and Casualty Insurance company is seeking a Senior Contract Surety Underwriter for their Dallas operation. Candidates will be responsible for producing new accounts from a group of agents within a Texas territory. This contract surety program focuses on bonds up to $5MM and are looking for underwriters who want to build their own book of business. Our client is looking for candidates who have strong relationships in Texas and the Southwest in particular but interest is in persons nationally.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in business administration, finance or related field.
• A minimum of 8 years of Contract Surety underwriting experience in a carrier setting
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong technical underwriting and marketing skills
• Recognized relationships with independent agents and brokers in your current location
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of products
