Senior Marketing Representative

The Senior Marketing Representative will be part of a growing team of a well-respected regional insurance company that has been in business for over 100 years.  This is a critical role to work in the Rhode Island market where you will be responsible for developing and fostering agency partner relationships to drive new business acquisition and proactively coordinate resources and services between internal departments and affiliates. The ideal candidate will have strong existing relationships with agencies in the market, a strong internal desire to achieve sales and profitability goals, and innate relationship building skills at a high level.

About the Role

• Act as the branch field liaison with agency partners, regularly contacting and visiting them within the assigned territory to fulfill the branch marketing and business development plans.
• Drive the acquisition of new business with agents through properly conveying branch and underwriting appetite, discussing leads and prospects, and pre-qualifying submissions and evaluating risks.
• Collaborate with underwriters to secure the acquisition of desirable individual accounts.
• Evaluate the impact of market conditions and representation by territory and recommend changes in agency representation within assigned territory.

Senior Marketing Representative Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in marketing or business or equivalent working experience.
• Minimum of five years of experience with underwriting or marketing in the property and casualty industry.
• Professional designations such as CPCU or CIC strongly preferred.
• Existing agency relationships in the territory a must.
