Senior Underwriter- Commercial Auto Liability

Duties:

Underwrite Commercial Auto new and renewal accounts.

Using applications, inspection reports, past claims history, endorsements, specific web-sites to determine degree of risk from such factors as business operations, mileage, loss experience, equipment schedules, financials, and MVR/driver acceptability.

Manage a book of transportation business maintaining underwriting standards and profitability.

Develop and maintain positive relationships with agencies.

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

Bachelor’s Degree

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, attention to Detail, Thoroughness, Decision Making,

Microsoft Excel, data entry skills, the ability to work as part of a team, Time management skills, and Independence

Knowledge of the wholesale industry and have a minimum of five years underwriting transportation accounts

Experience with ISO rating and forms

Provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers
