E-Commerce Business Development Representative

The eCommerce Business Development Representative’s role is to identify sources of business, hasten habituation of use of the system and maximize proper usage from existing system users.

Key Accountabilities

Achieve Sales growth objectives for assigned territory Grow existing business and generate new leads and be pro-active in assessing opportunities for Carstensen, on-board, train and develop new Insurance brokers/entities on our Internal systems. Proactively monitor existing business and provide detailed monthly activity reports Attendance at industry events, generating sales opportunities for new business Implement all company policy, procedure and regulatory requirements Bi-weekly travel to meet with new and existing brokers Support e-Commerce Underwriting Team with Live Chats when available In addition to the above key responsibilities, you may be required to undertake other duties from time to time as the Company may reasonably require.

Experience:       

Min 2 years’ experience in a business development, sales or underwriting role in insurance

Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Knowledge:       

Computer skills – good working knowledge of MS Office, Excel Previously utilized an electronic claim system

General Skills / Attributes:

Good written and verbal communication skills
