Financial Systems Business Analyst

It’s necessary that you possess a strong accounting background to fulfill the Financial Systems Business Analyst. You will be intimately involved in supporting financial systems configuration, reporting and process improvement. For its size, this organization has unique and extensive reporting requirements most often seen at larger companies. The mechanisms you guide create a relationship between the business community and IT departments with an ultimate effect on the finance team’s ability to reconcile, disclose financials and closing management.

Responsibilities you can expect as Financial Systems Business Analyst:

1. Conduct research, testing and evaluation of financial systems
2. Build and maintain reports using PeopleSoft and Hyperion Financial Reporting (HFR)
3. Coordinate user test and troubleshoot system issues
4. Facilitate training activities

Time management, organization and attention to detail are important attributes to be successful as the Financial Systems Business Analyst. Other experience requirements include:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Statutory reporting
• Experience/understanding of a systems support role, general ledger accounting and financial reporting models within certain reporting programs like PeopleSoft nVision, Hyperion Financial Reporting Studio (HFR), Hyperion Smart View and Blackline
