Exciting new Job open – Manager of PR and Communications

As the Manager you will play an integral role in driving consumer facing campaigns to drive awareness in the marketplace and will also be responsible for setting the strategy around internal communications. This position will be key in the development of overall external and internal communications strategy and plan.

Responsibilities:

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create insights based communications strategiesthat deliver on company goals
  • Manage relationship with external PR agency through all parts of planning, execution and reporting process and work to optimize output and spend with agency
  • Work with internal partners (HR, Marketing, Distribution) to build cohesive integrated plans and drive efficiency and effectiveness
  • Support senior leadership needs by assisting in the development of strategic communications plan and by providing support to development of a variety of communications vehicles. Examples include: message ghost writing and editing, preparing essential articles for internal and or external consumption, crafting senior talking points, developing communications tool kits and producing other communications vehicles to support overarching internal communications plan
  • Present strategies to stakeholders and secure alignment on PR activities sharing updates as appropriate
  • Identify, build and foster media and influencer relationships
  • Interpret and act on data based insights. Leverage data and insights to develop, nurture and refine compelling concepts
  • Provide planning and execution support for all-hands meetings supported by senior leadership to include gathering and reviewing content, finalizing materials and supporting presenter audio/visual and other needs
  • Provide drafting, editing and proof reading for communication. Conduct research on engagement and communications topics as needed.

 

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in journalism, communications, public relations, marketing or a closely related field.

Experience/Knowledge

  • At least 3-5+ years of experience in internal communications, writing, media relations.
  • Experience working effectively multiple constituents, including peers, executive management, senior management
  • Knowledge of current digital and social media technology
  • Knowledge of SEO, content and social analytics best practices and principles
  • Superior writing and editing skills
  • Excellent partnership skills with the ability to collaborate, build relationships, gain credibility,
  • and influence both internal and external partners across all levels of management
  • Strong project management skills and great attention to detail, with the ability to independently move multiple projects forward in parallel
