Job Summary
Plans at an operational level and manages the effective use of resources to transform business-specifications into cost-effective IT Security solutions. Implements and/or maintains a medium system or multiple smaller systems and/or assigned project(s). Investigates, identifies, and resolves data security events/breaches independently. Responsibilities are assigned with some latitude for setting priorities and decision-making using established policies and procedures. This job does not manage others This job works under General Supervision: Incumbent independently performs a variety of duties, including potentially complex duties within established policy guidelines; responsible for a defined set of assignments (e.g. assigned customers, claims or other specified set of responsibilities); is expected to set priorities and meet specific goals and objectives of the function or unit. (Typically pertains to advanced/operational, senior professional, unit supervisor)

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Security review and testing of AWS and Azure services as they are requested by the business
  • Implementation and management of container security product and program
  • Development and drive secure architecture patterns for serverless/containerized implementations of applications
  • Automation of security monitoring, alerting, and remediation
  • Develop cloud security review patterns and perform security review and consultation for new IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS products
  • Regular security reviews and consultation on new public cloud applications running on public cloud services AWS, Azure, Google, etc.


Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required. Five years of work experience within Computer Science or a related field required.

Education, Work Experience & Knowledge
Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline preferred.
Seven years of relevant experience with data security practices, processes, and data security event investigation/resolution preferred.
Broad knowledge of all IT related technologies with subject matter expertise in IT Security related technology and business exposures impacting organizational vitality preferred.

Top skills/preferred qualifications:
* Experienced with Amazon Web Services architecture and application development
* Experienced with AWS API integration and automation
* Experienced with building AWS Config rules and Lambda functions
* Experienced with developing with Python and Terraform
* Understanding of enterprise identity and access management
* Understanding of using and securing container technologies (including Docker and Kubernetes)
* Experienced working in a highly complex, hybrid cloud environment

Additional preferred skills include:
* TCP/IP networking
* CI/CD including DevOps and DevSecOps
* Azure experience a plus
* Azure Active Directory and ADFS experience a plus
* Node/Go experience a plus
* Google Cloud Platform a plus
