The Controller will report and work closely with the CFO to enhance and improve the Company’s accounting and finance functions. This position provides senior leadership and is responsible for managing the accounting team and will be responsible for the integrity of the financial controls of the Company. The Controller will maintain an adequate system of accounting records and ensure a comprehensive set of controls is in place to mitigate risk and enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results. The Controller will oversee the production and distribution of internal, NAIC Statutory, and US GAAP financial statements and will work closely with management, external auditors and tax advisors.The Controller will manage 3 – 2 Assistant Controllers and 1 Manager of Accounting and Treasury Services.
Bachelor degree in accounting or higher and a CPA is preferred, but no a required.
Minimum of 10 years of property and casualty accounting experience and a working knowledge of CAT reinsurance preferred.
