Accounting Bookkeeping Assistant/ Full Charge with Insurance experience opening in Nassau County, Long Island, New York. Assist accounting department with numerous daily insurance related accounting activities to ensure all customer payable and receivables are accurate and promptly processed within the agency computer management system. Requires filing, reconciling, spreadsheet updates, compiling receipts and invoices for payments, assisting with various accounting questions from clients, carriers and premium finance companies, maintaining the HRIS time and attendance system for proper payroll processing. Ideal candidate will have previous experience in insurance and insurance accounting functions, solid interpersonal skills, as well as proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. A high school diploma or equivalent is required as well as a minimum of an associates in business administration (Assistant role) with exposure to basic accounting principles, or four year degree in accounting preferred (Full charge bookkeeper).
