About the Role
Commercial Insurance Account Manager- Transportation opening in the agency’s transportation team. You can transition from a general, all lines/all industry background into this niche. In fact, that’s the appeal of the role because it comes with upward trajectory. The agency’s model is designed for account managers to grow into higher level marketing and Account Executive roles.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to new producers on fleet transportation accounts.
- Involvement with marketing initiatives to market and secure new business and renewal quotes in GL, physical damage, cargo, excess and umbrella.
- Middle Market focus. You’ll assume a book of business on day one; most accounts are middle market ($10k-$50k in agency revenue).
Skills & Experience
- At least three 3) years of demonstrated experience in an Account Manager, Client Service role for a retail insurance agency.
- Middle market ($10k+ revenue) account background with complexities that may be similar to transportation accounts such as: contract indemnification, service intensity (certs, endorsements, changes) and compliance (MCS-90 filings, excess and special cargo limits).
- State insurance license.
