Duties & Responsibilities
The position will require the broad and deep knowledge and experience of an actuarial generalist who can dive into a variety of actuarial projects including: new product pricing, valuation and financial reporting work, modeling for budgeting and strategic planning initiatives, and completion of experience studies for assumption setting.

Skills & Experience

  • 7-10 years of life insurance experience in the areas of product development and pricing, Stat and GAAP valuation, experience studies, and financial modeling
  • ASA or near ASA (Must be current on continuing education if ASA)
  • Experience with traditional non-par Term and Whole Life and indemnity Accident & Health coverages
  • Experience with actuarial modeling software. Knowledge of the GGY-AXIS actuarial system ideal.
  • Strong spreadsheet and VBA macro skills
  • Familiarity with regulatory/accounting issues affecting individual and group products (e.g., GAAP Targeted Improvements for Long Duration contracts)
