Senior Transportation Underwriter - REMOTE

General Placement Service is currently engaged on a recruiting assignment with a growing “A” Rated insurance carrier for a Senior Transportation Underwriter. This role can be worked from home anywhere in the U.S. with a preference for the east coast.  Our client writes everything from long-haul, large-fleet trucking to buses and taxis, all through a very limited distribution model utilizing anywhere from 2-6 exclusive agents nationwide.
 
To be qualified for this position, a candidate must have extensive commercial auto, trucking or public auto underwriting experience.  My client expects this candidate to be able to underwrite an account from beginning to end and capable of adequately explaining why a quote was priced the way it was based upon the assessment of the risk. This is not a processing job, this is a technical underwriting position. 
 
My client will pay a generous base salary plus bonuses.
