About the Role
The Employee Benefits Account Manager, Team Leader requires a strong management background with demonstrated experience in operational efficiencies, account management, and client service delivery. Working for a terrific insurance agency headquartered in Salt Lake City, your goal is to plant seeds of collaboration within the service team.  Duties & Responsibilities
Personnel Leadership- Foster a culture and environment of personal and professional development within the account management ranks.

  • Direct reports consist of account managers, account coordinators, and customer service representatives.
  • Oversee quality of team members’ work product. Provide encouragement. Identify areas for new training and skill checks. Set clear goals and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Account Management- Serve as the lead client manager on a dedicated book of group health accounts. Collaborate with sales and shared services to onboard new clients and manage renewals for existing groups to include:

  • Draft RFPs, census, billings, risk evaluation, experience reports
  • Assemble and analyze quotes
  • Negotiate rates, services, and plan design with carriers
  • Review underwriting reports

Skills & Experience

  • At least 7-10 years of employee benefits insurance industry experience in client management
  • Prior team leadership and/or management experience is required
  • State insurance license or able to obtain one within 90 days of hire

Compensation, Benefits, & Perks
Salary target is $80k-$85k plus a comprehensive employee benefits and PTO package.
