JOB DESCRIPTION
To provide support to Claims Adjusters/Nurse Case Managers/Claims Supervisors/Assistant Claims Manager/ Claims Managers in Work Comp Unit

RESPONSIBILITES AND DUTIES:

*Complete in-house Adjuster Trainee course and continue to work at the Sarasota based office
*Assist Claims Supervisor as needed
*Obtain permanent adjuster license within 30 days of hire if not currently licensed
*Maintain diary and workflow requirements
*Arrange medical appointments for injured employees and issue appropriate appointment letters
*Electronically compile documents for appointments, Request to Produce and defense referrals
*Request medical records and follow up for receipt
*Gather information for MSA referrals as requested
*Document claims system with all medical provider information
*Other duties as outlined by Claims Supervisor, Assistant Claims Manager, Claims Managers,   Adjusters

Basic Skills and Knowledge Needed:
Working knowledge of current workers’ compensation statutes and company policy and procedure
Medical terminology
Data entry skills
Excellent telephone skills
Must attend seminars for obtaining CEU credits when licensed
