About the Role

We have been retained by Specialty Equipment Insurance Services to assist in identifying Executive Insurance talent for a newly created role of Chief Operations Officer. SEIS offers a variety of insurance and equipment protection products to provide a competitive advantage for agricultural, construction and material handling equipment dealers, OEMs, and financial institutions in the US and Canada.

They are a leading equipment protection and insurance service provider in the heavy equipment industry, offering a complete enterprise solution for businesses in this sector. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing organization where you will plan, direct, coordinate, and oversee operational activities in the organization, ensuring development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet current and future needs of the organization.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversee Operations, Product Development, Underwriting, Pricing, Systems, Claims
  • Establish, implement, and communicate the strategic vision and direction of the organization
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on operations projects and systems
  • Identify, recommend, and implement new processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline organizational activities and use of resources/materials, leveraging concepts to drive value
  • Operational diligence in the exploration of M&A opportunities
  • Build out a claims function
  • Implement new programs

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of industry-related experience including three years in upper management required
  • Fundamental understanding of underwriting, compliance, claims and finance
  • Experience within heavy equipment and/or agriculture insurance markets ideal
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills
  • Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with a focus on effective and efficient operations management

Compensation

Base $180k to $200k. Equity. Competitive benefits.
