Skills & Experience
- A professional with at least five (5) years of experience being involved with the design, review and administration of clients’ benefits plans. This can include insurance industry experience in a similar Employee Benefits client facing role, Underwriting, or Human Resources.
- Self-funded exposure. This is important because you’ll work with clients that generally have 50-500 employees and therefore vastly different health and welfare programs.
- Someone who can work independently with little training or supervision required.
- Enjoy a blend of time in the office and outside meeting with clients. Duties will range from billing, claims review and marketing to mid-year reviews, enrollments, and sales presentations.
- State insurance license, excellent organizational and computer skills (particularly with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint).
Job Specs
Location: Hartford, CT (home office) or remote, work-at-home potential if you reside in Connecticut or western Massachusetts. Being in this general area makes it so you can reasonably travel to the office as needed as well as for on-site client visits.
Compensation, Benefits, & Perks
- Target range is $70k-$100k but with variance depending on experience
- Full benefits and PTO company offerings
- Incentive/bonus opportunity based on book growth (account rounding, assistance closing new clients, etc.)
