About the Role

Join a Top 50 Independent Insurance Agency as Talent Acquisition Specialist with involvement in all sales, service and administrative recruiting initiatives. Working within the Human Resources division, you will also be involved in implementing and monitoring new hire training programs and retention strategies.

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Pipeline Development: Proactively identify the best pool of candidates in a timely and cost-effective manner. Identify people through social media channels, prior applications, employee referrals, internal postings, networking activities, college recruitment and job fairs. Partner with corporate and regional offices to anticipate hiring needs in sales, client service, administration, finance, accounting and IT.
  2. Candidate Management: Manage the full cycle recruiting process from application in-take to initial screening and coordinating interviews to move candidates through the interview process. Conduct due diligence including background checks, references, profile testing and pre-employment screening. Work with hiring managers to ensure job requirements are being met, candidates are appropriately vetted and job profiles are complete to fill positions in a timely and accurate manner.
  3. Internal Liaison: Be a training and communication conduit with hiring managers. Educate them on sourcing and interviewing techniques. Provide updates on applicant availability and marketing strategies to attract talented job seekers. Make hiring recommendations, extend offers of employment and assist with managing salary negotiations.

Skills & Experience

  • At least five (5) years of corporate recruiting experience
  • Insurance industry experience is required

Job Specs

Location: Remote, work-at-home however preference will be given to candidates in central or western time zones. The agency’s current Human Resources teams are located in the Midwest and California; having you work on a similar schedule is ideal.

Compensation

$80k-$90k depending on experience. This is a salaried position with a bonus program in place, too.
