This large, independent Michigan agency with a national footprint and offices in the Central and Southeastern parts of the U.S. writes big commercial accounts and need an experienced client service professional to step in for a retiring employee as Commercial Insurance Account Manager. They have a great deal of success in real estate, construction, habitation, non-profits and trucking; this gives you a glimpse of the types of business you’ll service. This is truly a generalist, middle market book.

You’ll work alongside account executives with the hope their training and mentoring gives you the chance to be promoted to their level in the future. Several retirements are expected in the next few years. Senior roles are going to open up.
• In addition to day-to-day policy management, you’ll have frequent interaction with clients and strategize with them to manage all renewal marketing.
• You’ll work on mid-sized accounts. No small BOP business here.
• The agency has a commission incentive plan available for new revenue you help identify (either brand new clients to the agency or cross-selling/upselling existing accounts).

Skills & Experience

What We Need From You:

• A minimum of three (3) years of commercial insurance experience in account management. An understanding of the agency service, marketing and policy workflow.
• State insurance license.

Compensation & Benefits

$60k to $75k range + comprehensive benefits and PTO package.
