Senior Account Manager/Account Executive Hybrid

About the Role

Privately held health insurance brokerage/consulting firm seeks experienced agency professional for Account Manager/Account Executive hybrid position. This individual is the first point of contact for employee and retiree benefit plan questions, plan set-up and maintenance, compliance issues, open enrollment, claim issues. This position works directly with the Practice Leader to provide technical expertise and effective client service in developing and strengthening the client relationship.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Address issues with carriers and clients, such as billing issues, enrollment, and claim payment
• Respond to inquiries regarding benefits, eligibility, COBRA, FMLA, and the Affordable Care Act
• Participate in client meetings, whether in-person or virtual
• Prepare and present materials and content for Open Enrollment meetings
• Coordinate work involved with coverage or carrier changes
• Review contracts, agreements and policies for accuracy and regulatory compliance
• Identify need for new lines of coverage or services within clients
• Coordinate and oversee benefit plan coverage and insurance carrier changes

Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience as an Account Manager in employee benefits and insurance industry required
• Experience in the Group Health Insurance/Benefits Broker Agency
• Strong project management, organizational, and time management skills to prioritize workload and meet time sensitive deadlines

Compensation, Benefits, & Perks

$95,000 to $100,000. Compensation package will include a performance bonus program.
