Commercial Auto Underwriter

About the Role

The Commercial Auto Underwriter is an opportunity to transition your risk analysis expertise and market knowledge to the retail agency world. With a Dallas based insurance broker that focuses exclusively in commercial auto risks (specifically dealerships), your understanding of that industry’s risk factors, underwriting options and pricing structures is a huge support to the sales and service team. You sit at the intersection of supporting the Director of Business Development with new prospects and existing clients as well as help the account management team with internal workflows, company relationships and quality control. 

Duties & Responsibilities

• Review new and renewal clients risk exposures, claims history, policies and pricing structures
• Identify the best markets to secure competitive quotes and reliable coverage
• Engage in the sales process by supporting producers with proposals, client engagement and account onboarding
• Nurture new and existing account relationships

Skills & Experience

• At least seven (7) years of commercial insurance underwriting experience
• Thorough understanding of program management for commercial auto risks; it’s even better if you have worked with dealerships
