SVP, Commercial Auto Underwriting

About the Role

This growth-oriented MGU is seeking a qualified underwriting executive to help create and foster the infrastructure needed to provide a foundation for future success. Along with providing strategic oversight, you will help to hire, train, and develop a large team of underwriters focused on commercial auto risks.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for the management, development, and execution of sound underwriting principles
• Create comprehensive programs, often drawing from or innovating existing company policies to maximize the training and development of underwriting staff
• Provide critical analysis of the underwriting team’s performance to the executive management team

Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of progressive underwriting leadership experience
• Commercial Auto background a must-have, with a focus on short and medium haul contractors a plus
• Strong technical knowledge needed to interact with internal and external stakeholders, including reinsurance partners

Compensation & Benefits

$175-200,000 + bonus + comprehensive benefits package
