About the Role

The Employee Benefits Account Manager supports the agency’s senior producers with a mixed book of business. The typical account you’ll service is over 100 lives, so you’ll get to see all aspects of fully insured and self-funded case management. 

  • You work autonomously and without a lot of direction from the benefits department. 
  • You coordinate all service, renewals and daily communication. 
  • You participate in renewal strategies and also get involved in enrollments, benefits communication and compliance.

Job Specs

  • Location: Phoenix or Tucson
  • Compensation: Target salary range of $55k-$75k depending on experience
  • Responsibilities: This position is for an Employee Benefits Client Manager with independent, retail agency client service experience. 
  • Timeline: The agency is using the summertime for interviews in anticipation of new hiring needs by early fall to gear up for Q4 and 1/1/22 renewals.

Skills & Experience

  • You have at least three (3) years of group benefits insurance industry experience with at least one (1) year as an Account Manager or similar level.
  • You have a natural ability to sit down with owners to extract key information, discuss their operations and make recommendations.
  • You approach service with a consultant mindset. You’re friendly and outgoing but can be an adviser handling tough issues when needed.
  • State insurance license.
