About the Role

The Senior Commercial Insurance Account Manager job opening is an immediate need for an experienced commercial insurance professional who can work autonomously, hit the ground running with an established book of business, and is open to a remote, work-at-home situation.  Here is a snapshot of the job:

  • Required Experience: Prior client service experience managing a variety of middle-market, Commercial P&C policies ($15k-$50k in revenue accounts are the ones you’ll most typically work with). This is truly a generalist role; however, there are specialty verticals within this book including some unique accounts like reverse-flow business.
  • Marketing & Client Management: Proactively manage the overall workflow for the assigned book of business. Handle all lines of commercial insurance for accounts and serve as the main client point of contact. On most days you’ll have an 80/20 workload split between client service and marketing.
  • Compensation: $70k-$90k target salary range depending on experience + quarterly bonus opportunities.
  • Location: Atlanta, GA with the flex time option for local candidates to work up to 3 days/week at home. Additionally, the agency will consider 100% remote, work-from-home for experienced candidates in the Eastern or Central Time Zone provided you can travel to Atlanta on occasion for meetings with the team and clients. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Establish solid client relationships and manage the delivery of services along with answering questions from clients about coverage, billing, and endorsements
  • Identify important client needs as well as cross-selling opportunities and effectively communicate those needs to the sales team
  • Coordinate the administrative activity of client accounts like certificates, id cards, and applications as they relate to renewals and claims
  • Grow relationships with underwriters and marketing contacts to help work through renewal negotiations, coverage gaps, claims issues, and additional services or policy purchases

Skills & Experience

  • At least five (5) years of commercial insurance experience with an independent insurance agency as the lead client manager
  • Active P&C insurance license
