Homeowners Underwriting Manager

About the Role

Growing Property and Casualty Insurance carrier in Texas is seeking a Homeowners Underwriting Manager ready for their next step. Candidates will be responsible for managing the Personal Lines Underwriting Department as well as support personnel focusing on Homeowners products in Texas and surrounding states. The successful candidate will report to senior underwriting management. Duties & Responsibilities

• Providing strategic business solutions for the underwriting area
• Providing input on ways to integrate technology into the underwriting process
• Full personnel management including performance reviews, training and development, workflow planning etc.

Skills & Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 7 years of personal property underwriting experience and 3 years of management
• Experience with Texas a plus
• Strong technical underwriting and analytics skills
• Ability to work with all levels of management and staff
• Excellent communications and strategic skills
• Entrepreneurial spirit

Compensation

$100,000 to $110,000 + profit sharing
