About the Role

Specialist insurance business that provides complete management services for insurance enterprises. Services include oversight and management of Underwriting, Claims, and Litigation for carriers and agencies. They seek a Head of Strategic Business Development to drive the development and execution of strategic initiatives. This is a key role in assessing, developing, and operationalizing new business opportunities. Creative analysis, independent thought, and a proactive approach to adding value to the organization are key elements of this position.

The Director of Strategic Business Development is in charge of increasing company revenue. They do this by identifying, developing new business opportunities, and expanding brand presence.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Champion new opportunities across the organization
  • Manage existing partnerships, evaluate company business goals
  • Drive marketing efforts by completing market research and proposing strategies to expand market
  • Serve as an integral member of company’s strategic planning effort to identify, assess, and prioritize growth opportunities
  • Support business development aspects, including but not limited to negotiations, financial analysis, strategic planning, management presentations, etc.

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor of Commerce Degree (Finance/Business Administration)
  • Min. 5+ years of experience in management consulting/corporate finance/business development
  • Experience working within London and Bermuda risk transfer markets
  • Knowledge in business planning and conducting financial analysis
  • Demonstrated track record of bringing in new business and closing deals

Compensation

$125,000 to $150,000 + commissions ($200k to $300k all in)
