We are seeking a self-motivated, experienced, Underwriting / Insurance Product Manager. The Underwriting / Insurance Product Manager is a key thought leader that will support the Head of US Insurance with all efforts related to defining and building the Recreational Boating insurance product and its multiple facets.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Analyze and monitor product performance to make data-based decisions regarding segment underwriting, coverage, and pricing in order to drive continuous improvement
- Monitor compliance issues at the state level and collaborate with Legal
- Build relationships with key insurance departments and legislators to facilitate approvals
- Translation of the product definition into concrete aspects such as rates, forms, pricing algorithms, regulatory submissions
- Act as an expert for the recreational marine insurance product (incl. product features); provide such expertise to various internal and external areas, including product, engineering, sales, claims, and agencies
Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of experience in product management and/or underwriting in personal lines insurance (ideally recreational marine) with a history of professional progression
- 3 to 5 years of experience as the Lead Product Manager and/or Lead Underwriter with comprehensive accountability for profitable product growth ideal
Compensation
Base salary $130,000 to $160,000 + bonus 20-30% + equity
