Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

$63,800.00 - $105,200.00

What Is the Opportunity?

The Position will be part of the Business Product Capability Services Chapter. The primary responsibilities comprises of performing Business QA activities across Value streams following Agile methodologies for System applications and platforms used internally and externally for Business Insurance products & services.

The individual will be responsible in executing the Business QA(BQA) strategy/approach partnering with Value Stream/Circle teams and peers.

Responsibilities also include:
? Providing business testing guidance working with Business field users engaging them in UAT and gathering inputs into the Business E2E suite. Tasks require proficient communication, facilitation, critical thinking and collaborative skills.
? Following all BQA practice deliverables and adjust based on the needs of the project/circle and provide the right level of engagement / support.
Secondary responsibilities may include some level of automation of scripts, intake oversight for underwriting rules and Rating/pricing validation.

  • Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities
    • Interpret and analyze Business requirements
    • Understand Project Management fundamentals.
    • Actively seeks opportunities to expand analytical and business knowledge.
    • Develop and implement Business Quality Assurance Plans.
    • Develop leadership skills while learning how work assignments address business issues.
    • Support process improvement initiatives.
    • Independently own and deliver the following within the realm of both Project and BQA support:
      • Demonstrate solid understanding of Agile 2.0 process; seek clarification if needed
      • Ensure proper use & adherence of defined best practices & standards including development and maintenance of artifacts, quality reviews, scope management, sizing, workflow management, Rally tool usage etc.
      • Meet all deliverable deadlines and report on issues and/or progress with agreed upon frequency
      • Timely Communication with 'all' teams including circle/chapter leadership as appropriate
      • Triage management of defects and intake tool, and root cause analysis skills.
      • Encourage employees to consistently adopt and utilize defined processes, tools and standards while monitoring and identifying additional standards and practices to be considered for implementation
    • Develops effective relationships and partners with business customers in: IT, BA, QE (Quality Engineer), Product Owner, Team leads, UX, Implementation leads, business/field users, etc.
    • Taking accountability, analytical thinking, change management/resilience, communication, customer focus, judgment/decision-making, leveraging differences, relationship management, and teamwork
    • Meets or exceeds quality, timeliness, and service level agreements.
    • May update and maintain product configuration rules.
    • May conduct analysis of rules and rating discrepancies.
    • Other duties as assigned.

Additional Job Description

  • Minimum Qualifications
    • Two years of Technology or Business Testing and/or Quality Assurance experience required.
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Education, Work Experience, & Knowledge
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or its equivalent in work experience preferred.
    • Solid knowledge of property casualty insurance products (Personal or Business Insurance).
    • Demonstrates an aptitude for learning assigned supported business systems and technology.
    • Strong personal computing skills with experience using Microsoft Office Excel preferred.
