Mid-Level Coverage Associate

Opportunity to join a global law firm, which received a national Band 2 ranking for ‘Insurance: advice to insurers, in the 2022 edition of the Legal 500 USA. Kennedys, is seeking mid-level associates with four to seven years of coverage litigation experience to join its New Jersey team. In this role, the attorney will represent insurance companies in coverage disputes and advise insurance companies in a variety of coverage matters. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing global law firm.

Candidates should have a strong litigation background, with experience analyzing coverage issues, drafting coverage opinions, pleadings, and dispositive motions, and conducting discovery in insurance coverage litigation and other commercial litigation. The ideal candidate also will have taken and defended depositions, attended court conferences, and argued motions.

Required experience

• Minimum of 4 years law firm insurance coverage' and litigation experience
• Must be licensed in New Jersey
• Excellent academic background
• Superior research, writing and communication skills
• Organized and self-motivated
• Experience handling all phases of the litigation process including drafting pleadings and motions, conducting discovery and appeals.
• Arbitration and/or trial experience is beneficial
