Product Development Manager

About the Role

A.M. Best “A” (excellent) rated commercial lines insurance carrier focused on construction, manufacturing, and healthcare markets, ranked as one of the top 100 Property & Casualty companies in the United States, seeks an accomplished product development professional. 

The Product Development Manager will lead the product team in the planning, development, and maintenance of the product portfolio. Oversee the research and response to key trends, regulatory adjustments, environmental forces, and market needs.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Supports the development and execution of product strategy
• Leads the review and analysis of intelligence, bureau programs, ISO and/or AAIS circulars as it pertains to new and existing products or coverages including the Rates, Rules, and Forms to convey the developed concepts
• Maintains a complete product map of all products to evaluate and address product interactions
• Supports business case development for potential product solutions

Skills & Experience

• 10 years of demonstrated coverage analysis experience within the insurance industry
• 5 years of management experience in Commercial Property and Casualty Lines product management
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to think strategically with a high degree of detail
• Ability to manage multiple project work teams using applied principles of project management
• Ability to lead discussions, make presentations, and deliver technical results to a non-technical audience

Compensation, Benefits, & Perks

$140,000 to $160,000, performance-based incentive pay, comprehensive health & welfare benefits, 401(k) savings plan and profit sharing. Generous paid time off programs, flexible and remote work arrangements.
