Job Summary:

Staff Auditors will start in a fast-paced environment supporting various Internal Audit projects and strategies. Staff Auditors will be responsible for supporting audit projects across cross-functional areas and teams with moderate leadership oversight. This role will apply a risk-based approach to audit projects that are operational and strategic in nature, will develop audit programs and project plans and have full accountability for the lifecycle of audit projects. The role will include working in a collaborative environment to deliver reviews where knowledge and experiences can be leveraged to achieve results. Staff Auditors can expect to also collaborate with partners across the business to understand processes and initiatives throughout Allstate.

Staff Auditors will be mentored on the various organizations within Allstate, our auditing methodologies, as well as gaining the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities needed to help you have a successful career in the Allstate Internal Audit department.

This position is a permanent remote home-based worker. Your home office does not need to be near an Allstate office, but it does need to be in the United States. This position is eligible for a monthly connectivity reimbursement to offset the costs of internet and phone expenses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support audit engagements over various enterprise areas
  • Assist in development of audit programs through audit planning processes, including risk assessment, process analysis, and control evaluation
  • Participate in execution of audit engagements through audit testing, documentation, and communication of results
  • Partner with Management across the enterprise to understand auditable areas and address audit issues
  • Coordinate work with other team members and leadership through department initiatives including but not limited to data analytics and fraud strategies

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This job does not have supervisory duties.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
  • 2+ years experience (including internships) in Internal Audit.
  • Experience completing operational audits.
  • 2+ years of Allstate, Internal Audit, Public Accounting, or related business experience preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • CPA, CISA or CIA certification a plus

Functional Skills:

  • Ability to work independently as well as in a strong team environment
  • Able to set project timeframes for self and team members to meet project objectives with minimal oversight
  • Intermediate project management skills
  • Basic understanding of audit theory and application
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Flexibility, adaptability and comfort in dealing with the unknown
  • Understanding of fundamental IT concepts
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Basic critical thinking and problem-solving skills around business issues
  • Proficiency in business-related computing applications (e.g., Microsoft Office applications)

Compensation offered for this role is$56,600.00 - $80,000.00 per yearand is based on experience and qualifications.
