Job Summary:

The ABI Product Development Lead Consultant is responsible for creating and maintaining commercial lines products by executing cross-functionally across the product development cycle, with focus on differentiated coverage offerings, easy quoting experiences, novel pricing strategies, and interpretable underwriting rules/models. This role at any time will be responsible collaborating on idea generation, test design, test execution, product implementation, and cross-functional collaboration for roll-out to the market. Additionally, this role contributes to the development of integrated strategies to achieve growth and profit goals, drawing upon expertise in product, pricing, and risk management to achieve business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contributes to Allstate business strategy and participates in the execution of a holistic strategy for specific or multiple products in alignment with strategic objectives and within the context of ABIs product development cycle.
  • Collaborates on and contributes toward the development and execution of short and long-term strategies to offer the product differentiators and experiences needed to achieve profitable market share growth.
  • Understands and identifies operational issues and develops preventative measures needed to lead change effectively on new and existing products with all AORs.
  • Supports stakeholder and risk analysis with research, evaluation, to provide recommendations for ABIs products and processes and will leverage 3rd party data to accomplish business objectives, particularly as related to pricing and risk selection.
  • Collaborates on the initial discovery and analysis of 3rd party data to be leveraged in commercial products. This includes vendor management as well as partnering with members of the product development, internal data science, modeling, and technology delivery teams.
  • Partner with our pricing and data science teams on the continual evolution of our auto rating plan and underwriting decision models.
  • Embraces agile transformation, including partnering with key stakeholders connected to the agile release train.
  • Uses KPIs to measure the success and to drive transparency into business outcomes and progress related to the overall product strategy.
  • Exploration of commercial auto UBI solutions that enables market differentiation.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
  • 5 or more years of related Experience
  • Insurance background/Product experience

Strong product, pricing, underwriting, and insurance regulation knowledge, with knowledge of product offerings, pricing, and risk selection methodologies.

Compensation offered for this role is$82,000.00-$146,125.00 per yearand is based on experience and qualifications.
